My paintings are the result of ideas and feelings encountering one another: a “song fragment”, a “memory”, landscapes or abstractions that invoke the sensitivity of a reaction. Visual fragments that are constructed, then de-constructed to the final re-construction of those elements interwoven, whether representational or not. Rebecca is an oil painter that loves the process of blending paint and mark-making integrating those layers to be of literal or symbolic significance.

My first experience with clay was in high school and I fell in love. I always pushed the limits and tested my imagination. I didn’t touch clay again until the pandemic and bought my first wheel in 2020 and haven’t stopped creating since. Now I focus a lot on containers with lids involving flowers and plants, sculptures like octopi and women in yoga poses, making small trinkets, necklaces and magnets and play with melted glass. Most recently working on a set of larger pieces made from molds.
