My inspiration awakens at the waters edge, where my heart is held by the magic and wonder of our natural world. I use natural materials, foraged with love and soulfully created from the shores of Lake Superior. I’m drawn to the wild and gentle beauty of driftwood and follow the movement of its natural shape and texture to create new forms, adding delicate touches of turquoise, beautiful stone and painted details.

For the last 5 years, as my home becomes emptier, I have spent time reflecting on reinventing myself after 7 years as an Adjunct Instructor and 22 years as a homemaker. In these 5 years I discovered my love and passion for creating with clay, creating pieces that reflect my love of nature and the natural world. My creations are wheel thrown and functional and I want the recipient to feel grounded and a sense of love while holding a piece.
